Not the best end to a week for us as we had to have our little Maddie put to sleep, she was nearly eleven and was the eldest Boxer we have had to date, when I first decided to get really serious about photography, a big part of one the courses I did was working through different types of portraiture that I may be called upon to take, one was pets, which I have a knack for, my two main subjects at the time were our dogs - who bless them were always on hand, and for a few tit bits would sit and pose for minutes !! but that is all you get - so you soon get used to making sure that you get the shot, so I would like to peel away the years, and show you some of my homework, this features B.T. and Maddie and brings a big lump to my throat - as they are both gone now I entered this homework picture of B.T. and Maddie into a monthly photographic competion and won a gold award, it was then featured in the Professional Image Maker Magazine and then formed part of my Licentuate panel - I must have been paving attention in class !! Other subjects at the time were my family - although I must admit they were never receivers of any tit bits - and did a lot of moaning about having their photos taken so often, the amount of posing for me has dropped off through the years, but every now and again I get the request from my wife to take a picture of one of them - this is the latest photo I have of Maxine - my lovely daughter Last Saturday saw photographing the wedding of Trevor and Charlotte Godfrey - the reception was at Ponsbourne Park and a great day was had by all, I'd like to share the "WOW" photograph from the day - as usual the last one taken, I must add that the lighting is not the hotels, the dome behind the happy couple was lit by Elinchrom - a Swiss Studio lighting company that provide the lights that travel to the weddings with me and my helpfull assistant Scott.

Quite a bit of catching up to do - I am afraid have been neglecting my blog for a couple of weeks now - so I really need to let you folks know what I have been up to!! First off I received a testimonial from the lovely Albane Lester whose wedding I photographed last Feb - it was a last minute booking as she wasn't originally going to have a photographer - she is a member of a networking group that I belong to who meet at the Barns Hotel in Bedford: A belated thank you for our wedding photos. Everyone in this group have seen the beautiful wedding photographs you make, and I can definitely confirm that the quality of ours was also great. In addition, I would like to highlight your flexability. As I had originally planned not to have a dedicated photographer at the wedding, I actually approached you only 2 weeks before the event. Also, we were keen to avoid posed pictures, so you moved away from the traditional, and shot "fly-on-the-wall" photos throughout the evening in complete discretion. Thank you for capturing images of our special day and for giving us images to cherish for many years to come, Thanks Albane much appreciated. On a different subject - this week I visited Knights Templar Sports Centre in Baldock to do a new set of staff photos, for a job like this time is the essence as everyone is working and have to pop out to get the photo done, so it's my job to not only take the photo but to get a good one as they are going on the entrance to the centre - everyone seemed very happy with their individual photo so here is the end result: Last week I was called upon to do a school portrait - for this years Jubilee - over 300 hundred people in this, a little pre-thought was called upon with a great deal of help getting the children together by the staff, and this is the result: Had some really great feedback from a Doggy photo I did for a birthday present - all hush - hush and done in secret, this was finished off as a piece of Wall Art (as a Aluminesence print) - and it looks absolutely great - delivered by third party after being dropped off to an unmarked car in the car park of the Barns Hotel (I said it was Hush -hush) I got this text on the said Birthday "Thank you - he loves it", which was followed sortly by a text from the birthday boy himself, a one "Mr Ian Henderson" - "Hi mate, thank you so much for sorting out the photo, it's really good i love it. You are a legend" which I must admit did get my day off to a flyer, please meet Lilly a lovelly Labradoodle Puppy: And finally for this installment of the Inner-Visions Blog - last saturday I photographed the wedding of David and Julie Pulley, with the reception being held at Horwood House, as with all weddings I photograph, I always aim to put a little "WOW" into the wedding album - a little something you don't normally see in a wedding album, this is the last photograph taken before we left for home, we started photographing at 9.45 A.M. in a Eden Hair and Beauty salon Bierton and finished at 9.30 P.M. at Horwood House with the wedding ceremony at St James Church in Bierton.
