Last Friday (7th September) I received an email from the Master Photographers Association which read: "Hi, I'm delighted to let you know that after three day's of intense judging you have been awarded a Merit in the 2012 Diamond Jubilee Awards - As a Merit winner, your image will be displayed with the other Merits at the Awards Dinner and Presentations, taking place on Sunday 14th October at the Hilton Hotel, Newcastle. It will also be displayed on the Awards website. I'd like to invite you and your guests to attend the event, where all the Merit winners will learn if they have achieved Awards of Excellence, become category winners or indeed won the UK or Rest of the World Portfolio title or International Master Photographer of the Year. If you've not attended before I can tell you that it's a fantastic night, full of glitz and glamour that you'd expect from such a prestigious event! Do not miss the celebration that brings photographers and the industry closer together for the benefit of the profession. Colin R Buck Chief Executive - The Master Photographers Association" - To say the least, this got my weekend off to a flyer, and I also have an entry in the Mario Acerboni Category for Wedding Photography - not yet judged. Oh and the winning print is:
As usual I would like to share a few photos from a recent wedding with everyone - so these are from the wedding of Mathew and Leanne at the All Saints Church in Emberton with the reception at the Barns Hotel in Bedford.
Say hello to the new Mr & Mrs Brown
Close family with the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen
Mathew being carried away with the moment - or was he just swept off his feet ?
The whole day for a photographer is about taking photographs - this time with a twist - here's a photograph of a photograph being taken - if you know what I mean!!
Off to the Barns Hotel Cardington Road Bedford
With all the guests outside the Tithe Barn - me - ten foot up a ladder
Just married and jumping with joy or just having fun on the happiest day of your life
Here come the "Guys"
and finally - making the most of a fabulous riverside setting - a great day had by all with some fabulous photographs to remember the whole day by only one choice - Inner-Visions Photography
